Current construction progress in the project in Katete (Zambia)

A new school building with 3 classrooms was completed.

The number of pupils in Katete has increased from 696 originally to 725 (345 girls, 380 boys) in the course of 2021. This led to the further expansion of the sanitary facilities for the children, which is currently being realised in stage 2.

Construction work started at the beginning of January 2022 and had to be interrupted at the beginning of February due to persistent heavy rainfall. The construction of the girls’ toilets has progressed quite far at the current stage. The boys’ toilet area is still at an earlier stage of construction.
