The Health Clinic in Namununga, Zambia

Besides education, preventive health care and medical care are essentials. Therefore, in our first project in Namununga, Zambia, we also prioritised the construction of a hospital.

For both pupils and the local community, this means:

  • Pregnant women and the parents of the pupils have a shorter route to the new Health Clinic, meaning that pupils recover more quickly from illness and injury, and can return to lessons much sooner.
  • Approximately 7,000 inhabitants/residents in the surrounding area now have access to medical care, and the mortality rate has been reduced accordingly.
  • The mortality rate has dropped with access to rapid medical care.
